Project brief: While a grid connection was available at the event location, the available capacity was insufficient for the loads. At the same time, due to issues of brand image and the healthy living message which the event organisers and sponsors were aiming to promote, diesel generators were ruled out as an option to meet the additional powers needs of the event.
The client contacted Ampd Energy to propose a solution which met the needs of the event.

Results
Four Ampd Enertainer units were successfully deployed at various locations to support the 10K, 5K, and 3K run events over the weekend. The existing available grid capacity was utilized for continuous charging, with state-of-charge (SoC) monitored for the entire duration of the event. Both the event organizer and their electrical and mechanical (E&M) contractor expressed their satisfaction with the power and energy proposal, on-site technical support, and Enernet IoT monitoring system.
